Cancellation & rescheduling policy

Speech Tech is committed to providing consistent, high-quality AAC services through both home-based and virtual sessions. To ensure we can best support all of our client and manage scheduling efficiently, we kindly as that families follow the policy below. 

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours' in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full session rate, as that time has been reserved specially for your child. 

No-Show Policy

  • Home Visits: If a provider arrives at your home and is unable to begin the session (e.g., no one is home or the child is unavailable0, the full session fee will be charged. 
  • Virtual Sessions: If the family is not present in the virtual room within the first 10 minutes, the session will be considered a no-show and billed accordingly. 

Rescheduling

We are happy to accommodate rescheduling with at least 24 hours' notice, based on availability. You can submit reschedule requests via email or phone. 

Late Arrivals

For both home-based and virtual sessions, appointments will end at the scheduled time-even if starting late- to respect other clients' schedules. The full session fee still applies for shortened sessions. 

Health & Safety

If anyone in the household is sick (fever, flu, COVID symptoms, etc.), please contact or switch to a virtual session if appropriate. We reserve the right to cancel in-home sessions if safety is a concern.
